This painting celebrates the Super Bowl victory of the New England Patriots in February 2005
With Artistic Liberty Tom painted John F Kennedy and Jackie as the couple beside the Chestnut vendor (left side of painting)

Boston Celebration
In Boston Celebration, Tom features the "Boston Commons" which has been a "promenade" or area for strolling since the 18th century.

The scene has been created at the moment after the Super Bowl victory in February 2005. American Football Conference (AFC) New England Patriots 2005 Super Bowl XXXIX (39th) World Champions played on February 6, 2005 at ALLTEL Stadium in Jacksonville, Florida defeating the National Football Conference (NFC) champion Philadelphia Eagles, 24–21, to become the first team since the 1997-1998 Denver Broncos to win consecutive Super Bowls. New England also became the second team after the Dallas Cowboys to win three Super Bowls in four years. Tom painted the Flags waving to celebrate the Super Bowl Victory.

The famous Park Street church is glowing. The left-hand corner features a sidewalk vendor roasting chestnuts which has always been part of the scene in the Boston Commons.

+++++ And this is what Thomas Kinkade said about this work +++++
"Artists seek to present a distinctive vision of the world. Which means that there are favorite themes, color harmonies, subjects that repeat themselves in our work. In Boston Celebration, I make a virtue of necessity by returning to a favorite subject at a different time of day and year. My first painting of historic Boston Commons on a damp fall day nearly fifteen years ago, was a great success. Now, when the birthplace of liberty is celebrating the dizzying triumph of a curse-breaking World Series followed by a second consecutive Super Bowl championship, it seemed the ideal time for a fresh look at this favorite historic destination. With this painting, we stroll the Commons at a very special moment in time – a chilly winter’s evening in the weeks following the 2005 Super Bowl triumph. Flags celebrating both the champion Red Sox, as well as the victorious Patriots festoon the square. Blazing lights seem to herald the celebration; the glowing façade of Park Street Church looms like a victory torch while a chestnut vendor adds to the festive air. Does the couple walking under the church spire conjure memories of John and Jackie Kennedy? I’ll leave that to you."

ABOUT BOSTON
rich in history....

~~~Religion. Politics. Rebellion. Boston's pedigree was forged back in England in the midst of religious dissension, where Puritans and Pilgrims sought religious reform, and Cavaliers and Roundheads vied for political power
~~~In 1629 1000 Puritans migrated from England to Boston, Furthermore, throughout the emigration period of 1620-1640, England lost over 20,000 people to Massachusetts.But why? Why did so many people want to leave England? Didn't they know about Massachusetts' winters? The answer lies is the time track and history of this state so rich in history and heritage.
