+++++ And this is what Thomas Kinkade said about this work +++++
"In Deer Creek Cottage, the world appears reborn in beauty, all the barrenness of the winter wood hidden by white. The delicate fawn, peering at the lights in the cottage windows, seems to join in the reverent mood. Perhaps even the animals of the forest can celebrate Christmas!"

~~ Thomas Kinkade

"Thomas Kinkade, The Painter of Light has sold more canvasses than ~~ Claude Monet, Rembrandt, Renoir, Edouard Manet, Vincent Van Gogh. Leonardo da Vinci, Picasso, Paul Gauguin COMBINED. He is America's, and the World's, most collected living artist. He is to Art, what Henry Ford was to automobiles." ("60 minutes "~~ CBS)

Trivia
Did you know.....

This lithograph was done from Thom's Hometown of Placerville, in Northern California where Thom was raised. It was painted in 1995. This painting was a local release for Placerville. Months later when it was released nationally, it was called "Deer Creek Cottage" Thom used to set up a booth at the local fair grounds in Placerville at Thanksgiving and in one day sell all of his new release, as many as 2000 to 3000 would sell in one day.

~~~~Did you know there was a time when Thomas Kinkade would actually answer the phone when an order was placed ? He was his own receptionist, salesman, and customer support.
~~~~In early days, he would sell his work at county fairs. All originals would be gone by 6pm. when the fair closed. These days his originals can sell for $1 million on up.
