A lavish full color large-format art book spanning the career of America's most popular living artist featuring a selection of Thomas Kinkade's light-filled paintings of cottages, mountain vistas, peaceful towns and bustling cities from throughout his career. (A quarter of the images have never before been reproduced in book form)
The book places Kinkade in the historical context of 19th-century painters of the Hudson River school and others, in what he calls the Luminist tradition.
Included is an Introduction and biographical essay by Wendy Katz.
Thomas Kinkade lived in California with his wife and four daughters until his untimely death on 6 April 2012.
As well as painting, Kinkade also wrote inspirational books for the Christian market which have been best sellers.
